  1. Population and dissenters: About Fifty nine. I don’t know of any Dissenter of any Denomination in this Parish.

  2. Public or charity schools: There is no Publick or Charity School in this Parish.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: There is no Alms-House, Hospital, or other charitable Endowment in this Parish.

  4. Residence upon cure: I do not reside in my Cure Here, but at Buckland Filleigh being order’d so to do by my late Good Lord [illegible deletions] Stephen then <Lord> Bishop of this Diocese.

  5. Curate: I have a Residing-Curate, whose name is William Millman. He was ordain’d Deacon, as I am inform’d, about Michaelmas last. He lives in the Parsonage House. I allow him £24 a year.

  6. Divine service at other churches: I do not perform Divine Service Here above once a month, unless on any extraordinary Occasion.

  7. Frequency of divine service: On Sundays & Holidays, with a Sermon in the morning every Lords-Day – except from Lords’ Days in the year, when the Sacrament of the Lds Supper is Administer’d at Ashbury, and a Sermon is preach’d each morning there.

  8. Frequency of communion: On Good Fryday, on Easter Day, on Whitsunday, the Lord’s Day before or after Michaelmas day, and on Xtmas-Day – or the Lords Day following.

  9. Number of communicants: Upwards of Ninety, about 60 of that number usually receive. The Number of them who Communicated at Easter last & the Lds’ day following was, to the best of my Remembrance, near 70.

  10. Catechising of children: When I serv’d this Cure in Person I catechiz’d the Childn of this Parish, in the Church, at least 20 times in the year after Evening Service. Most of my Parishoners did send their Childn &c to be instructed, but some few did not.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: I don’t know of any Chapel in this Parish.
